Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to produce pictures of different body systems. As a small wand is passed over the body part being studied, an image appears on a computer screen, allowing the physician or technician to view the body part.

Ultrasound is used to study the abdomen, pelvis, and the blood flow in the legs and carotid arteries. Ultrasound is also used in pregnancy.

Ultrasound is available at LakeEast Hospital, LakeWest Hospital, Mentor Medical Campus, Madison Medical Campus, and Chardon Medical Campus .

To schedule an ultrasound, call Centralized Scheduling at 1-866-652-5253.
